The Darke group of companies has won a number of high profile projects to be carried out over the next 6 — 8 months.

The most exciting of these projects will be a series of illuminated double handrails and glass balustrades for the main steps from Stratford Station to the Olympic village.

The project requires the production of a series of polished stainless handrails with 20 small LED puck lights on the under side of each handrail. This is a new type of lighting system manufactured and imported from Australia. Darke Tech sourced this through WILA Lighting Limited based in Oxfordshire.

London calling
Other exciting projects in progress are at Crown Woods School, South London and a prestigious development of apartments and restaurants at Maiden Lane in Covent Garden.

Five centres for the boys in blue
Darke have also won a further prestigious project for five police investigation centres. Darke's diligence and expertise resulted in redesigning certain elements of the project which enabled the client to save time and money, thus winning Darke all five centres.

The Darke group of companies strive to offer the best in design and customer service to ensure we stay a competitive force in these tough times. We are finalising many other projects with some high profile architects, and are looking forward to a fruitful 2011.
